OSU basketball: Cowboys' success might depend on Jawun Evans

STILLWATER – Phil Forte stands as the face of the Oklahoma State program, and his senior season leading the Cowboys should be fun to watch.

Forte needs help, of course, and there's a call for Jeff Newberry, Leyton Hammonds and Mitchell Solomon to be better than ever. There's a call for bench help, too, on a team in major transition.

Yet more than anything, this Cowboys season likely boils down to one player yet to play his first minute of college ball: Jawun Evans.

That's heavy stuff for a slight, 6-foot point guard who'll be asked to pass and be a playmaker more than score.
