STILLWATER — Two years ago, in the hours after the Oklahoma State basketball team eked out a victory at Tulsa, a handful of freshmen crucial to the win joined Mike Boynton in the gym.
Boynton, then an assistant on Brad Underwood's staff, took note of the work ethic of that freshman class, willing to spend time shooting after they provided 19 of the Cowboys' final 23 points in a 71-67 victory at Tulsa's Reynolds Center.
