Any postseason examination of Oklahoma State's basketball roster revealed an obvious need: big man.
The Cowboys hope they've plugged the hole, gaining 6-10 post player Jernard Jarreau, a Washington transfer whom OSU hopes will be eligible immediately for the 2015-16 season, according to sources close to the program.
Jarreau, who visited Stillwater over the weekend, averaged 5.1 points and 4.7 rebounds for the Huskies last season, while starting all 21 games that he played as a junior. He missed 10 games midseason after undergoing minor knee surgery.
With the Cowboys, the 250-pound Jarreau will add needed bulk to a front line that returns 7-footer Anthony Allen and 6-10 Mitchell Solomon, although coaches see Solomon as a better fit facing the basket.
