STILLWATER — Chris Harris Jr.'s freshman season is over.
Oklahoma State coach Mike Boynton announced Thursday morning that Harris will undergo season-ending left knee surgery on Friday.
“We’ll know more after the surgery in terms of recovery time and all that stuff,” Boynton said.
Harris, a four-star guard from Dallas’ South Garland High, had not played since suffering the injury early against TCU on Feb. 5.
Harris played in 21 games — starting three — and averaged 3.3 points. He made 29.3 percent of his field goals, including 20.4 percent from 3-point range.
He did become a key defensive player off the bench for the Cowboys, recording 12 steals.
