Turns out the worry was warranted, as the Bears battered OSU on the boards and in the paint, the difference in a 79-62 Baylor win before an estimated 5,000 at the Ferrell Center.
Behind Big 12 rebounding leader Rico Gathers, the Bears had moreoffensive boards (23) than the Cowboys' totaled (18).
The result: easy points in easy ways.
Baylor scored 44 points in the paint, 18 second-chance points, and added 21 from the foul line when the Cowboys — unsuccessfully — tried to get physical near the basket.
