Former 7-foot big man Johnny Pittman, who helped lead Oklahoma State to the Sweet 16 in 1991, died earlier this week.
Funeral arrangements are pending.
Pittman was a force inside the paint for Eddie Sutton’s first Cowboys squad with his big frame that reached 270 pounds.
In leading OSU to the Sweet 16, he started every game and averaged 8.1 points, 6.2 rebounds and 1.3 blocks per game. He shot 51.8 percent, too. He also earned honorable mention All-Big Eight Conference honors.
