An Oklahoma State team that lived on big home runs ultimately was killed by one.
Texas Tech’s Kurt Wilson hit a three-run home run in the bottom of the eighth inning off OSU closer Ben Leeper that erased a late Cowboy lead and ended their season with an 8-6 decision in the deciding game of the NCAA super regional Sunday night at Rip Griffin Park in Lubbock, Texas.
Only moments earlier, No. 9 Oklahoma State had taken the lead with a home run that was crushed well over the right-field fence by Colin Simpson in the top of the eighth.
