OSU baseball: McCusker, outfield look to be strength of team

It doesn’t take much searching to find a strength of this year’s Oklahoma State baseball team.

The Cowboys have to replace players at key spots, including shortstop and third base. They don’t have that problem in the outfield.

OSU returns three players with experience, including two starters.

Trevor Boone, Carson McCusker and Cade Cabbiness will roam the outfield.

Among the three, they started 105 games and had 409 plate appearances last season.

Boone and McCusker had 88 of those starts. Cabbiness struggled to crack the lineup because Jon Littell, a senior who was drafted by the Los Angeles Dodgers, started in left field.
