Although Matt Holliday pursued his major-league dreams instead of attending Oklahoma State, it isn’t too late for him to become a Cowboy.
Holliday was added to the OSU baseball staff as an assistant coach in charge of offensive development and outfield play, OSU Athletics announced Thursday afternoon. Holliday will help his brother, head coach Josh Holliday, run the program their father led from 1997-2003.
Matt Holliday, a seven-time All-Star, played for the Colorado Rockies, the St. Louis Cardinals, the Oakland A’s and the New York Yankees through a 15-season span. He made his major-league debut with Colorado in 2004.
