Opening Day has arrived. With that comes our first installment of The O’Colly’s weekly Oklahoma State Baseball mailbag.
If three seasons on the baseball beat has taught me anything, it’s that time flies when you’re not only having fun, but also counting down the days. Just four months ago, we were at Baum-Walker Stadium covering the Cowboys’ fall exhibition series at Arkansas. Now, we’re heading to the Lone Star State to cover OSU in the Shriners Children’s College Baseball Showdown at Globe Life Field.
It was an eventful offseason for the Cowboys. OSU coach Josh Holliday reeled in seven transfer portal additions while also returning six position players from last year’s Big 12 Tournament champion roster that won 42 games and hosted a regional at O’Brate Stadium for the third-straight season.
