STILLWATER — After his two collegiate seasons at two schools brought him neither the success nor the consistent playing time he sought, Matt Kroon had every reason to pursue the professional opportunity in front of him.
Instead, he joined a program he never visited before committing. Having been the Phillies' 30th-round selection in June's MLB Draft after his one season at Central Arizona, Kroon chose to come to Stillwater to be an Oklahoma State infielder.
“I just showed up on campus Day 1 and said, ‘All right, let's do it,'” Kroon said. “I'm really lucky to be here.
