Oklahoma State’s Carson McCusker disappeared from the view of most of the fans at Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark as he made a leaping catch on a foul ball in the left field corner in the first inning Monday night.
It was the best play he made in Monday night’s win-or-go-home regional final, but nowhere near the biggest.
The 6-foot-8 junior made another leaping catch against the left field wall, then dove to snag a sinking line drive — all before he ripped a two-run double in the bottom of the sixth inning that sent the No. 9 Cowboys to a 3-1 win over Connecticut.
