STILLWATER — Oklahoma State was spoiled the past three seasons behind the plate.
Colin Simpson was a steady force, both as a catcher and a hitter. Last season, Bryce Carter was added to the mix and created a nice rotation.
Now, the Cowboys have all new faces at catcher.
LSU transfer Brock Mathis and redshirt freshman Josh Spiegel are the two catchers on the roster. And infielder Max Hewitt is even working behind the plate.
“Getting Brock to transfer is a real, real big thing,” reliever Ben Leeper said. “We’ve got a couple good catchers, so it’ll be interesting to see how it plays out.
