OSU athletics: Mike Holder says budget cuts are coming

STILLWATER — Oklahoma State athletic director Mike Holder said Friday that budget cuts are coming due to the COVID-19 pandemic, but nothing is official.

“Those budget adjustments and salary cuts are in our future,” Holder said in a Zoom teleconference. “I can't tell you what they're going to look like right now. We have no clue what's going to happen with our ability to play sports of any kind this coming year.”

Earlier this week, the University of Oklahoma athletics department announced budget cuts of approximately $13.7 million as cost-cutting measures due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
