Opinion: Homecoming and Hoops got me hyped for basketball season

The speakers in Gallagher-Iba Arena blared “welcome to America’s greatest homecoming, where the world turns orange” as I walked into the stadium.

Homecoming’s weekend festivities were just getting started and Homecoming and Hoops was the main event of Friday night .

Homecoming and Hoops is an event put on by the men’s and women’s basketball teams in which fans get to see the teams for the first time.

Both teams took part in a three-point contest and some of the men participated in a dunk contest.
