A pitcher of Miranda Elish’s caliber can make an immense impact in postseason play.
However, there’s one problem: Elish can’t pitch.
Elish has been dealing with a nagging right arm injury for nearly a month now, dating back to April 24 when Oklahoma State was on the final day of its series against Texas. After retiring 13 straight batters and completely shutting down her former team, there was only one out remaining in the game when she suddenly had to exit the game after a wild pitch in which she immediately grabbed her shoulder.
