Oklahoma State linebacker Malcolm Rodriguez said Sunday that he tested positive for COVID-19 “upon reporting back for testing and prior to training at OSU.”
Rodriguez, a second-team All-Big 12 selection and OSU’s defensive MVP last year, made the announcement on Twitter.
Rodriguez, who trained with the Cowboys wrestling team this past winter, is the second OSU linebacker to publicly announce they’ve contracted coronavirus after linebacker Amen Ogbongbemiga did so June 2.
That same day, OSU senior associate athletic director for communications Kevin Klintworth tweeted three student-athletes tested positive for COVID-19 from more than 150 tests for athletes and athletics staff.
