The Cowboys made the cut for one of the top playmakers in the state.
Witt Edwards, a 2024 four-star athlete from Wagoner, released his Top 8 on Friday, and Oklahoma State made the cut.
The 6-foot-5, 200-pound two-way player makes plays at wide receiver, outside linebacker and even some at defensive back for Wagoner High School. A look at Edwards’ junior season film shows a big-bodied receiver with the ability to do damage after the catch — and the willingness to hit somebody. That’s an enticing combo. Edwards mentioned OSU safety coach Dan Hammerschmidt when he announced his offer, meaning OSU likely views the in-state standout as a defender at the next level.
