Oklahoma State redshirt sophomore Daton Fix heads to Lincoln, Nebraska, eyeing the 57 kilograms (125 pounds) spot on the United States’ men’s senior freestyle team for the World Championship.
Fix will wrestle 2017 world silver medalist Thomas Gilman of Iowa in a best-of-three series at Final X on Saturday at Bob Devaney Sports Center. It’s the second straight year the duo will square off after Gilman won last year’s series 2-0 against Fix, who ended up on the U.S.’ junior world team. Fix and Gilman are schedule to wrestle second to last in the second session at Final X at 6 p.
