Sometimes, the best way to show superiority against an opponent is to let each side’s top players scrap it out and see who comes out on top.
That is exactly what happened Friday night in the Michael and Ann Greenwood Tennis Center before a large and energetic crowd. No. 16 Oklahoma State defeated Arkansas 6-1 on the back of its top players.
OSU’s ( 6-1) domination - oddly enough - started out with a closely contested doubles point. Alana Wolfberg and Dariya Detkovskaya lost their match, but the loss was balanced out with a win from OSU teammates Bunyawi Thamchaiwat and Lenka Stara, meaning the point would come down to the play of Lisa Rioux and Ayumi Miyamoto.
