Oklahoma State wrestlers went 2-2 during Friday’s semifinals in the men’s senior division freestyle at the U.S. Open in Las Vegas.
Rising redshirt sophomore Daton Fix (57kg) and alum Alex Dieringer (79kg) won their bouts, while alums Jordan Oliver (65kg) and Derek White (125kg) fell in the semifinals. The consolation rounds begin at 11 a.m. Central time, while the finals start at 4 p.m. on FloWrestling.
Fix defeated 2017 NCAA champion Darian Cruz 2-0 to advance to Saturday’s finals. Fix will face 2017 World silver medalist Thomas Gilman, who won by disqualification against Nathan Tomasello in the other semifinal.
