Oklahoma State wrestling coach John Smith has vivid memories of standing atop the Olympic podium in 1988 and 1992 with gold medals draped around his neck.
He's just not quite sure where much of his world championship hardware rests today.
"To tell you the truth, I don’t know where it’s all at," Smith told trackwrestling.com on Sunday. "The medal is just a symbol. The title lasts forever.”
Smith was in August for the Rio games as part of the NBC broadcast crew for wrestling coverage. He discussed a number of topics in a video interview interview with the wrestling site.
