The no. 1 Oklahoma State wrestling program continued their dominance of the college wrestling world last weekend by sweeping Edinboro and Kent State, both by double digits. OK State will maintain their no. 1 ranking once again as we get closer and closer to the NCAA Wrestling Championships in March.
OK State’s first matchup came against no. 24 Edinboro on Friday, Feb. 3. Edinboro’s 125-pound and no. 9 ranked Sean Russell defeated OK State’s no. 12 ranked Nick Piccininni 3-2. However, that would be one of only three round victories for Edinboro.
No. 3 ranked Kaid Brock would start a dominant streak four straight round victories for the Pokes.
