STILLWATER — The longest offseason ever is finally coming to an end for the Oklahoma State wrestling team.
With the 2019-20 season being cut off just after the Big 12 championships in early March, and the beginning of this season being pushed back into January, the wrestling calendar has been off its axis.
But the Cowboys will officially start the season with a doubleheader beginning with Chattanooga at noon on Sunday, followed by Oregon State at 2 p.m. inside Gallagher-Iba Arena. The Oregon State match will be televised by ESPN+.
“It’s been a long preseason leading up to this event,” senior 149-pounder Boo Lewallen said.
