Grace Yochum and Gabriella Coleman both scored two minutes into the match, and the Oklahoma State women’s soccer team won their season opener 3-0 against Kansas State on Saturday in Manhattan, Kansas.
Ally Jackson sent a touch pass to Yochum, who chipped it from the edge of the box over KSU goalkeeper Alaina Werremeyer to give the reigning Big 12 regular-season champions a 1-0 lead only 1:58 into the match.
Coleman made it 2-0 when she bullied her way through KSU’s defense in the box and fired a shot into the net.
Charmé Morgan then sent a set piece from a free kick into the box where Cameron Huddleston headed the rebound to Oyvia Dowell, who blasted a shot to the bottom right corner Werremeyer couldn’t control for a 3-0 lead in the 31st.
