STILLWATER — Back during her high school days in Plainview, Texas, Karli Wheeler found herself watching plenty of Big 12 women's basketball on television.
The now Oklahoma State freshman point guard admits she was partial to the Cowgirls' down-south rival.
“I always kind of liked OU,” Wheeler said.
But her recruitment by OSU coach Jim Littell changed all that, and on Saturday, Wheeler got her first taste of Bedlam in a resounding 73-42 home victory.
“Going into the game, I didn't really know what to expect,” Wheeler said. “But after seeing all those fans show up for the Bedlam game, I knew it was a huge deal.
