STILLWATER — Oklahoma State received its NCAA Tournament seed Monday, and its opponent was received with a sigh of relief.
Finally, no Florida Gulf Coast, the Cowgirls' first-round foe the past two years.
“I wouldn't have wanted to play them three times in a row,” OSU coach Jim Littell said, then laughed.
Instead, No. 7 OSU (21-9, 11-7) will face No. 10 St. Bonaventure (23-7, 12-4 Atlantic 10) at 6:30 p.m. Friday in Corvallis, Ore. The winner will move on to face either Oregon State or Troy for a spot in the Sweet 16.
Littell discussed a variety of topics before the Cowgirls embark on postseason play.
