There’s elite performances. There’s Tiger Woods at the 2000 U.S. Open. Then there’s what Oklahoma State did at the 2016 Big 12 Wrestling Championships.
The Pokes took their 50th conference wrestling crown in decisive and overwhelming fashion over the weekend in Kansas City. They topped the previous record for points scored in a tournament by 41.5 (they held the old one at 118.5 in 2013 and scored 160 this year).
They also set the record for margin of victory at a Big 12 Tournament winning by 61 over OU. John Smith’s squad also qualified all 10 wrestlers for the NCAAs.
