Oklahoma State coach Mike Gundy will face his predecessor and former boss Les Miles for the first time Saturday when the No. 22 Cowboys host Kansas at Boone Pickens Stadium.
Miles was OSU’s head coach from 2001-04 while Gundy was the offensive coordinator. Miles guided the Cowboys to a 28-21 record and one bowl victory in three postseason appearances before leaving for LSU, where he won the BCS national championship in 2007. Gundy took over the OSU program and has led the Cowboys to 13 bowl games since and has them bowl eligible once again this year.
