The list of accolades keep stacking up for Brandon Garrison.
Garrison, an Oklahoma State basketball signee, was named Oklahoma’s Gatorade Player of the Year on Wednesday. A 6-foot-9 big from Del City, Garrison is the No. 42 player in the country and a McDonald’s All-American. With his Gatorade Player of the Year honor, Garrison joins a list of Oklahomans like Bryce Thompson, Trae Young, Blake Griffin, Obi Muonelo and Chianti Roberts to have earned the honor.
The last player to win the award and go straight to Oklahoma State (aka not Bryce Thompson, who went to Kansas before transferring to Stillwater) was Stevie Clark, who took home the honor in 2012 and 2013.
