STILLWATER — Kasey Dunn will reach a point this fall when he wishes he could spend time with daughter Kayla. He’ll be knee-deep in football; he’s the receivers coach at Oklahoma State. She’ll be busy with senior year at Stillwater High; she’s student council president and a swimming standout.
Time together will be sparse.
But they’ll always have Lubbock.
Earlier this summer, father and daughter did a triathlon in the West Texas hamlet. They trained for seven months. They endured heat and wind and hills. They swam and biked and ran a total of 70.3 miles.
