On Thursday night, now-former Oklahoma State point guard Jawun Evans became the Cowboys’ first player to be drafted into the NBA since Marcus Smart and Markel Brown in 2011.
It also put OSU into an elite group of schools to have at least one player drafted into each of the big three major league sports; NBA, NFL, and MLB (sorry NHL).
While OSU didn’t have the most players taken of the 18 schools, it was one of only three Big 12 schools to make the list joining Texas and Kansas State.
