Interestingly, Oklahoma State seems to be targeting dual-threat quarterbacks more and more as Mike Gundy’s tenure has progressed. The Cowboys signed under-the-radar quarterback Keondre Wudtee in the 2016 class, and they are making a move for a 2017 quarterback from Ellenwood, GA in Jelani Woods.
Bless and humbled to say I received an offer from Oklahoma state University… #OkState #BeACowboy pic.twitter.com/oq3rK165lY
Woods is listed as a 6-foot-7 (!!), 225-pound quarterback with offers from Michigan, South Carolina, Louisville, and others. He has tremendous athleticism and throws a pretty nice deep ball, but it appears he is used almost exclusively in the wildcat as a running back – and he’s a home run threat out of the backfield.
