The fierce wind on the outdoor courts and the force of the Sooners were too much for the Oklahoma State men’s tennis team to overpower.
Oklahoma vanquished the Cowboys 4-0 Saturday afternoon at Headington Family Tennis Center. The outcome replicated the result of the past season’s Bedlam battle at Greenwood Tennis Center, where the Sooners shut out OSU.
Despite the strong Oklahoma wind, the match was held outside. The weather adversely affected both teams’ serves and returns, but while No. 17 OU eventually found its rhythm, the Cowboys did not. Still, when the doubles matches began, it was a close fight.
