Oklahoma State has added another player to its transfer portal class.
On Wednesday evening, former Grand Canyon reliever Hunter Watkins announced his commitment to OSU on Instagram, becoming the Cowboys’ fifth portal addition of the offseason. The 6-foot-8 right-hander joins former Hawaii starting pitcher Harrison Bodendorf, Saint John’s starting pitcher Mario Pesca. Jacksonville reliever Tommy Allman and Arkansas left fielder Jayson Jones in OSU’s portal class.
As a freshman in 2023, Watkins logged a 3.83 ERA, to go with 47 strikeouts, a 22.2% strikeout rate, a 3.64 strikeout-to-walk ratio and a .279 opponent batting average through 47 innings pitched and 18 appearances, four of which were starts.
