Oklahoma State kicker Matt Ammendola on Lou Groza Award watch list

Oklahoma State placekicker Matt Ammendola was one of 30 players on the preseason watch list for the Lou Groza Award,the Palm Beach County Sports Commission announced Wednesday.

Ammendola, a junior from the Philadelphia area, made more field goals in 2017 than any other returning Power Five conference kicker, with 23, including his last 11 attempts.

The Groza Award list will be cut to 20 players on Nov. 1, and the three finalists will be announced Nov. 20. The award will be given out Dec. 6.
