Former Oklahoma State standout Thomas Hatch will have a chance to pitch in the MLB postseason after the Blue Jays included him on their wild-card roster Tuesday.
The Jenks, Oklahoma native threw two scoreless innings on 18 pitches — the seventh and eighth — in Toronto’s 10-5 win against the Orioles on Friday to lower his ERA to 2.73 this season. He’s 3-1 with 23 strikeouts and a 1.18 WHIP in 17 games during his rookie season.
Hatch, who will celebrate his 26th birthday today, will be in the Toronto bullpen as the Blue Jays visit the Rays in Tampa Bay for Game 1 of their American League wild-card series at 4 p.
