Oklahoma State has zero active COVID-19 cases on its football team prior to the team’s delayed season opener against Tulsa Golden Hurricane on Saturday at Boone Pickens Stadium in Stillwater.
OSU announced its latest coronavirus testing results Monday afternoon, with 11 active cases, including four on the women’s soccer team and seven among non-fall sports. The Cowboys football team had seven active cases last week.
“Our medical group was on the cutting edge with what they did, and it just happened that Doc [Val Gene] Iven’s plan was essentially flawless and perfect from the fact that we brought them in as early as possible,” coach Mike Gundy said Monday during his weekly teleconference.
