STILLWATER — The class was called financial accounting, and for three hours a day for weeks on end, Mason Rudolph and James Washington learned how to balance a budget.
“James was kind of tutoring me through that whole class,” Rudolph said. “It's tough.”
Said Washington: “It really wasn't too bad.”
The lessons were significant, though, considering the pending future of the starting Oklahoma State quarterback and his star receiver. A professional contract comes with plenty of big numbers, and managing those dollars well is essential.
Knowledge that might come in handy sooner than later.
Both players enter their junior seasons this fall established among the most lethal combinations in all of college football.
