December means awards time for college football, and the Big 12’s were announced today.
First and foremost, Emmanuel Ogbah was named the Big 12 Co-Defensive Player of the Year. The junior and likely-outgoing defensive lineman shared the award with Andrew Billings from Baylor. Ogbah finished the year with 60 tackles, 16.5 of which were for a loss, and 12.5 sacks, along with three forced fumbles. Ogbah was also named to the All-Big 12 First Team, one of only four unanimous selections. The Player of the Year honors were the first ever for an Oklahoma State defensive player.
