STILLWATER — Oklahoma State opened renovated Boone Pickens Stadium in 2009 and increased its seating capacity to 60,218. The year before, the average attendance for OSU home games was 48,261.
That’s an 11,957-seat jump.
But as the Cowboy football team enters 2015, the gap between the number of available season tickets and the number of fans who buy them is shrinking. Once season ticket sales reach about 54,000 they’ll become sold out to the general public, OSU ticket manager Craig Bowman told The Oklahoman last August.
So, when that might happen?
“I think we’re getting close now,” said Chris Bahl, associate athletic director of customer service and sales.
