EDMOND — Brandon Weeden was confident in his golf game last week after making a trip with fellow Houston Texans quarterbacks Brock Osweiler and Tom Savage for a round in Idaho. But Oklahoma State’s career passing leader says he received a “reality check” after his performance at Karsten Creek recently.
“I made eagle on 18 and shot 82,” Weeden laughed. “It wasn’t my best.”
It was all preparation for his noble cause Thursday.
For a fifth-consecutive year, Weeden hosted an annual golf tournament charity fundraiser at Oak Tree National to benefit the Children’s Hospital Foundation, a local nonprofit that helps children and their families in need of cardiac care.
