NEW ORLEANS — During a Sugar Bowl media session Tuesday morning, Oklahoma State offensive coordinator Mike Yurcich addressed a report he was among the candidates for the head coaching vacancy at Tulane.
"I did not interview for that job," Yurcich said.
The Times-Picayune newspaper listed Yurcich among a number of assistants who were believed to possibly interview for the job after Curtis Johnson was fired following a 3-9 season. Tulane went on to hire Willie Fritz, formerly at Georgia Southern, on Dec. 12.
Yurcich spoke with reporters about why he values his current position at OSU.
