Oklahoma State football notebook: Report says Wickline suit to be settled

Chip Brown of HornsDigest.com reported Tuesday that sources confirmed Texas has begun conversations with OSU's legal team to step in and settle the nearly $600,000 breach of contract lawsuit against Wickline.

The settlement is expected to be roughly $300,000 and be completed by the end of the month, according to the report.

Wickline, OSU's offensive line coach from 2005 to 2013, accepted a co-offensive coordinator position at Texas in 2014 with two years left on his OSU contract, which stated he must pay his remaining salary, $593,478, unless he left for a coaching position in the NFL or as a college offensive coordinator with “play-calling duties.
