Oklahoma State football: NCAA Committee on Infractions to release decision on investigation into Cowboy football program

STILLWATER — The NCAA Committee on Infractions will release a decision on its investigation into the Oklahoma State football program at 11 a.m. Friday, according to media reports and an NCAA news release.

Greg Christopher, NCAA chief hearing officer and athletics director at Xavier University, will answer questions regarding the decision during a noon media call.

In September 2013, Sports Illustrated published a five-part series called “The Dirty Game” that alleged widespread abuses within the OSU football program — including paying players, rampant drug use, academic improprieties and sexual favors to recruits.

In late October, OSU released the findings its own investigation — by an independent consultant and former NCAA investigator Chuck Smrt — into those claims.
