STILLWATER — Oklahoma State football branded itself as a facilities juggernaut with multi-million dollar projects to renovate Boone Pickens Stadium in 2009 and construct the Sherman E. Smith Indoor Training Center in 2013.
But if you're not constantly building in the nationwide facilities arms race, then it's likely you're falling behind.
So, what's next for OSU football?
"A bigger professional development academic facility is what my push is right now," coach Mike Gundy said.
Gundy foresees the new center specialized for football players and located inside unused space in the west end zone.
"If my son was going to college and was going to play football at Oklahoma State, that would be a concern of mine, to make sure you have every academic resource and professional development possible for them," Gundy said.
