Oklahoma State football: Defensive end Jimmy Bean's health status in question for TCU game

STILLWATER — Starting Oklahoma State defensive end Jimmy Bean's health status appears to be in question when the No. 14 Cowboys face No. 8 TCU in a battle of unbeatens 2:30 p.m. Saturday at Boone Pickens Stadium.

Bean — a 6-foot-5, 250-pound senior from Denton, Texas, who has started 34 consecutive games — was twice helped off the field in a win at Texas Tech last week with an apparent leg injury. Various social media reports fueled speculation it would lead him not to play against the Horned Frogs.

Early Wednesday, The Oklahoman submitted an interview request with Bean, as players who are not at Monday media luncheons often give post-practice interviews during the week, but a team spokesman replied Bean "won't be available.
