STILLWATER — Marcus Arroyo was just 8 years old when Barry Sanders won the Heisman Trophy. He turned 13 about the time Thurman Thomas led the AFC in rushing for a third season.
So these days, as Oklahoma State's now 36-year-old running backs coach scours the country for the next elite Cowboy tailback, it's easy relating to a younger generation. The tan and fit second-year OSU assistant with the ball cap pulled down tight more resembles more college student than veteran recruiter.
“It's a lot easier for me to walk into a high school than it is into an AARP meeting,” Arroyo said.
