STILLWATER — In a surprise twist, Oklahoma State has landed the state’s top football prospect.
Beggs safety Kendal Daniels announced Monday that he was committing to the Cowboys just days after he was released from his letter of intent at Texas A&M.
Daniels, a 6-foot-4, 198-pound senior, signed with Texas A&M over Clemson, LSU and OU in December. OSU did not make his finalists list.
He was initially going to commit to OU last summer, but his scholarship offer was pulled before his commitment date.
He instead chose the Aggies and developed a strong bond with defensive analyst Ishmael Aristide, who recently became the outside linebackers coach at Miami.
