STILLWATER — Oklahoma State linebacker Amen Ogbongbemiga has decided to pass on an extra year of college eligibility to pursue a career in the NFL.
Ogbongbemiga, who made his intentions known on Twitter on Saturday night, has been a steady force at middle linebacker the past two seasons. He finished the 2020 season with 80 tackles and 2.5 sacks.
The 6-foot-1, 235-pound Ogbongbemiga set a school record with three forced fumbles against TCU on Dec. 5.
Ogbongbemiga is the latest OSU senior to forgo the extra year of eligibility offered by the NCAA because of the COVID-19 pandemic.
